Shibori Ombre Fabric by Mokum

Price by Enquiry

Ancient hand-made textile dying techniques are recreated for the 21st Century, in our latest drapery design Shibori Ombre. Mokum’s new wide with drapery utilises a double technique of woven ombre and printed shibori to replicate the traditional artisan craft. Shibori is an ancient Japanese dyeing technique which involves the precise folding, twisting or bunching of fabric before binding and submerging it in dye. Shibori Ombre adds an artistic and calming aesthetic as a window treatment and has been airo finished to create its divine soft handle. A colour palette grounded in grey based neutrals with a dreamy blush pink and a traditional shibori indigo blue.

    Why I love this fabric

This is a really unusual and beautiful fabric for which photos cannot do it justice. The weave varies and gives it real interest and the design is soft, subtle and elegant.
