We Care About the Environment
At Ink & Brayer we are working on ways to build a business that makes as little impact as possible. We have a number of plans in the pipeline that will greatly reduce our carbon footprint. In the meantime, these are the things that we are doing for the environment:
Whenever possible, for goods sent directly from Ink & Brayer, we use home-compostable packaging. When plastic is used it is always the plastic that came from a supplier and remains to protect the product. It is our hope that it will then be recycled by the receiver.
Reuse and Recycle
-We make our fabric offcuts, when possible, into reusable fabric gift bags. This reduces waste at our end at at the consumer end too as it eliminates the need for gift wrapping paper.
-We use or donate all other fabric offcuts to schools and craftspeople, so only the selvedge is wasted.
-We give the large cardboard fabric-roll cores to fabric shops who reuse them or, if they are not required, we donate them to kindergartens and daycares.
